Get Ingalls Engineering camber kits, get the best ! "I think I need camber kits, what are they?" We hear this quite often so here is a quick response to the camber kit question: Taken from Ingalls: Camber is the inward or outward tilt of the tire/wheel assembly. This angle is measured from a true vertical line, i.e. perpendicular to the ground. A tire/wheel assembly that is tilted outward at the top is considered to have Positive camber. While a tire/wheel assembly tilted inward at the top, displays Negative camber. For a zero setting, the tire/wheel assembly is in the exact vertical position or perpendicular to the ground. Typically, when a car is lowered, these are the camber changes we see: 1 Inch lower = - .80 degree change from stock, 2 Inch lower = -2.0 degree change from stock, 3 Inch lower = -3.8 degree change from stock. These camber changes cause vehicle instability and accelerated tire wear if not corrected. The installation of camber kits will allow for correction back to stock specifications.
